Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) mengumumkan bahwa masih akan terus mem-PHK karyawannya sebagai finalisasi rencana restrukturisasi untuk menghemat 2,55 Billion Dollar pada akhir tahun 2009.
NSN yang merupakan join venture antara Nokia Corp. dan Siemens AG akan mem-PHK 700 lebih karyawannya di Finlandia, sehingga total karyawan yg di-PHK di negara ini mencapai 1.300. Di Jerman, perusahaan ini juga akan mem-PHK 500 karyawan sebagai tambahan 2.300 orang yg telah di-PHK.
Total karyawan yang di-PHK sekitare 9.000 orang, atau sekitar 10%-15% dari karyawannya secara global.
“With the successful completion of these plans, we will have the vast majority of the synergy-related headcount reductions completed and we can then start to put this chapter of our history behind us and focus on creating a world-class company,” kata CEO Nokia Siemens, Simon Beresford-Wylie.
