Apakah Indonesia Butuh KA Super Cepat???

PAL.

Harga tiket pesawat penerbangan murah Skymark berkisar 6.000~17.000 yen (0.672~1.904 jt rupiah).

Japanese Old Song: Tombo (Dragonfly)

I’ve heard this song few times while lived in Japan. Some people said it is one of most popular song in Karaoke place. Knowledge about thing such this sometimes could help you make a bond with your Japanese friends. So, no harm to read the rest of this article ^_^

Tombo, means dragonfly, is song written and sang by  Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi (長渕 剛, Nagabuchi Tsuyoshi). It was on top of Japan chart in 1988. The video above shows Tsuyoshi’s strong emotion with this song. He tell his own life story through this song. What is the content of this song can be found in this link which I quote:

He’s singing about how he wishes to be true to himself each time he hears his own footsteps on the asphalt. He sees people saying one thing and doing the opposite, counts the nights he can’t live to stand, and pretends to sleep in the darkness he can’t run away from. He could have given his life to get to Tokyo, the capital city. He took his flat Boston bag and traveled north. When he’s pushed to the ground and has to bite sand, his repressed conscience comes back and reprimands him to the bone. He wonders where the happy dragonfly is flying off to. He sees the happy dragonfly stick its tongue out at him and laugh.

The song is about a country boy who’s come out to Tokyo. He’s met his share of disillusionment, but he’s stuck and can’t leave Tokyo. He looks up and sees a free dragonfly. Not insulting him or encouraging him, it’s just carefree.

There’s really no cultural significance to the dragonfly (the tombo in the Japanese expression “gokuraku tombo” doesn’t even refer to a dragonfly), so comes from whatever personal experience Nagabuchi had. But I think the song is really about the singer (Nabaguchi)’s love and hate for the big city Tokyo. It goes hand-in-hand with Crystal King’s Daitokai.

I’ve manage to find the lyrics, both in romanji or kanji:

Bandung is Green City

Turis: Why roads in Bandung are in bad condition? Don’t your government know about this problem?

Guide: (dengan logat boso inggris medhok) The government knows about this sir…

Turis: So…

Guide: Those roads are intentionally made like that. Bandung is Green City sir… so we made “biopori” in order to drain the rain water. We made it everywhere, even in the roads sir… 😉

Turis: Oooooo… I see….

Be Careful in Writing Email Subject

Three days ago, my Gmail received an important email with subject “Mac” (MAC, Medium Access Control) from dearest boss to be. However, my Gmail treat it as a spam. Perhaps, the subject is coincident with name of “Mac”, electronics brand for Laptop or PC from Job’s company, Apple. So, how I know that there is non-spam email in spam mail box?

Well, actually this is not the first time. Few days prior, I was waiting email from Hendi, a friends from undergrad in ITB. The email subject is “Brosur xxxx …… “He sent it twice and both of them are recognized as spam. I would have never realized it if he did not tell my to check my spam mailbox. It’s true, those two emails are, indeed, in spam box. It seems the Gmail recognized as spam due to its

Lesson from this real story:

  1. BE CAREFUL IN WRITING EMAIL SUBJECT. Choose subject that allows email server presume it as spam.
  2. Check your spam box when you have time, PERIODICALLY.

Ketika memasuki ruangan, Iqbal jg nampak disana, berlagak seperti mandor yg mengawasi pekerjaan. Agak samar2, begini dialog kami.

Iqbal, wahyu, febri: eh andjas…

Riska: halooo….wahyu, febri

hehehe….

Ketidakkompetenan Layanan Pos Indonesia

Picture is worth than thousand words.
So, just watch this picture carefully and you will see what I mean.

Processing in Japan only need 1 day. In Indonesia need xx days…..

Bad Cheese: Do not trust foods in the fridge!

Yesterday, my wife cooked spaghetti for dinner. Almost ate half plate of it, she remind me to add some cheese. I forgot to add into my spaghetti. She took it a few second before. I put some of it into my spaghetti. In the middle chewing first spaghetti+cheese, my wife realize that there is mold or type fungus in the cheese. In addition, the spaghetti and cheese inside my mouth taste strange. Immediately, I thrown it up.

Although almost the bad cheese were thrown up, I still got the bad effect next morning. I got stomachache in which there are no need to explain the detail.

We were surprise that the cheese become spoiled. We always put that cheese in fridge. Up to this moment, we are not sure why the cheese get spoiled. We only could guess the reason of it. I think the high temperature and humid air in Japan lately also contribute to this matter.

The lesson that I could take from this experience are:

  1. Always check carefully before eat cheese, event if you always put in the fridge.
  2. Wrap the cheese properly (close tight the plastic cover). In my case, there is a chance that we did not close tight the plastic cover. Thus, outside air can enter the plastic cover.
  3. Putting the cheese inside air tight plastic bag is advised.
  4. Do not trust foods in the fridge!
  5. Do not trust foods in the fridge!
  6. Again, Do not trust foods in the fridge!
